Drama Scripts for Evangelism

Title: A Conversation with God
Summary: This is an evangelistic sketch. The premise is that the person is interested in Jesus and Christianity, and has been thinking about such things, but is unwilling, or not ready, to make a commitment or take the next step. It's about that stage, just before someone becomes a Christian, when they know that God is calling them, or drawing them to himself, but are hesitating.
Keywords : evangelism; evangelistic.
Duration : approx 2 minutes
Characters/Actors: 2 people
Scripture: John 6: 44.

Title: Do You Have to be Religious?
Summary: A sketch explaining that being a Christian isn't about behaving in a certain way or trying to be “good”, but rather that being a Christian is wholly dependent on what Jesus has done for us on the cross. It also takes a side-ways look at the topical issue of wearing a cross in the workplace.
Keywords : evangelism; wearing cross in workplace; definition of Christian.
Duration : approx 4 minutes
Characters/Actors:3 people.
Scripture: 1 Pet 3:15; Col 2: 20-23; 1 Pet 2: 24-25.

Title: What Has Jesus Ever Done for You?
Summary: Theme - evangelism / thankfulness. Why are Christians thankful for having Jesus in their lives? What has Jesus ever done for them? (This is based on the format of the famous Monty Python sketch, known as "What have the Romans ever done for us?" from their film "Life of Brian" - you can use a search engine to find the script of this, but be warned, their version is rude in places).
Keywords : evangelism; thankfulness.
Duration : approx 3 minutes
Characters/Actors: 3 people.
Scripture: 1 Pet 3:15; Psalm 92: 1-2.

Title: Jesus Was a Good Person, Wasn't He?
Summary:
In this evangelistic drama, our three not-so-bright heroes have a meandering conversation around the thought “Jesus was a good person, wasn’t he?” They look briefly at where we get our ideas about Jesus from – the Bible, TV, thin air? - and whether those sources are reliable. Turns out, the Bible is a more reliable historical document than many other histories we accept as truth. And you can’t say “Jesus was a good person” and leave it there, it doesn’t add up. Because Jesus himself said he is the son of God...
Keywords : evangelism; Easter; Bible; Jesus
Duration : approx 6 minutes
Characters/Actors: 3 people
Scripture: Matthew 16: 13-17
